Film Reseach
There are a few films, which I have looked into which have the same genre as my production. The films which I researched into, I watched and made some notes to see whether or not my production would have any of these conventions and forms or whether or not it would have similar themes.
The first film I watched is called ‘The Rain’. The rain is a UK inline skating film by Kingdom magazine. The film was produced, directed filmed and edited by Joe Spray.

This shows clear inspiration for my media production, with the same shot types, which I would like to use, and it also has similar themes, stunts and text for the opening sequence titles.
Another film that I have looked into is the ‘Lords of Dog Town’. This film has a similar genre. It’s directed by Catherine Hardwicke and distributed by TriStar Pictures and Columbia Pictures

This film also shows a clear turning point for the start of our film. It uses similar text again like ‘The Rain’ and uses music, which would also fit the same genre as my production.

Final DVD cover design
First Draft DVD cover
This is a plan and first draft of the DVD cover; There were a few problems so there was more than one design. I chose to colour coordinate the cover so it all matched. The text i thought fitted well with the whole feel of the production. The photos for the cover were captured on the day of filming for our production.
